Ajazz has announced the AK039, a compact magnetic switch gaming keypad aimed at competitive gamers looking for a smaller input device without giving up advanced gaming features. Priced at 199 yuan in China, the keyboard uses a 38-key layout that reduces the amount of desk space required compared to a full-size keyboard, leaving more room for mouse movement. This design makes it suitable for FPS, MOBA, and other fast-paced games where wider mouse movement can improve control.

The AK039 is built around Hall Effect magnetic switches and uses Ajazz's self-developed switch technology. The company says the keyboard supports 0.01mm key travel precision, allowing users to fine-tune actuation points according to their preferences. It also includes several algorithms designed to improve input accuracy, including ultra-low latency processing, multi-sample scanning, temperature drift compensation between -10°C and 70°C, and circuit noise filtering for more stable performance.

Ajazz claims the keyboard delivers 0.08ms input latency, along with a 128K full-key scan rate and an 8,000Hz polling rate. These specifications are intended to reduce input delay and provide faster response times than traditional 1,000Hz mechanical gaming keyboards.

The keyboard also includes a range of software features commonly found on modern magnetic switch gaming keyboards. Users can customize key behavior and actuation settings to better match different game genres and playing styles.

Key features of the Ajazz AK039 include:

· 38-key compact gaming layout

· Hall Effect magnetic switches

· Self-developed reinforced magnetic switch design

· 0.01mm adjustable key travel precision

· 0.08ms ultra-low latency

· 128K full-key scan rate

· 8,000Hz polling rate

· Rapid Trigger (RS) support

· SOCD cleaning

· Dynamic Keystroke (DKS)

· Mod Tap (MT)

· Toggle (TGL)

· Macro programming

· One-key reverse emergency stop

· Adaptive dynamic calibration

· Automatic temperature compensation

· Circuit noise filtering algorithm

Ajazz also includes a browser-based driver that can be accessed by holding FN + Z for five seconds. Through the web interface, users can customize RGB lighting effects, key assignments, keyboard layouts, macros, and switch settings without installing dedicated software. Mac users can manually access the driver through the company's official website using a browser that supports HID functionality.

For lighting, the AK039 offers approximately 16 million RGB colors, 20 built-in lighting effects, and music-reactive lighting modes. Dedicated shortcut keys allow users to quickly change lighting effects and adjust brightness levels.

The keyboard also features an independent metal volume knob positioned in the upper-left corner. Rotating the knob adjusts the system volume, while pressing it functions as the ESC key, giving users quick access to a commonly used command during gameplay.

Ajazz offers multiple keycap choices, including Apple-style PC keycaps, cat-head PC keycaps, and dual-color PBT keycaps. Buyers can also choose from four color options: Black and Yellow, White and Blue, Black and Pink, and an Apple-style edition.

With Hall Effect switches, customizable actuation, high polling rates, browser-based software, and a compact gaming-focused layout, the Ajazz AK039 is positioned as an affordable gaming keypad for players who want faster input performance while keeping more desk space available for mouse movement.
