AOKZOE A1X Handheld Game Console Now Available for Pre-Sale on Minixpc
AOKZOE has officially opened pre-sales for its latest handheld game console, the A1X, through JD.com. The device features updated hardware options and several improvements aimed at gaming enthusiasts who prefer portable setups. Customers can choose from different processor and memory configurations, with prices starting from $788.99.

The AOKZOE A1X offers two processor options: the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U and the newer AI 9 HX 370. These processors are paired with either 32GB or 64GB of RAM and storage options of 1TB or 2TB, depending on the configuration. The base model, featuring the Ryzen 7 8840U, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage, is priced at 5,699 yuan. Higher-end variants equipped with the AI 9 HX 370 are priced at 8,099 yuan ($1,120.99) for the 32GB + 2TB version and 9,599 yuan ($1,328.99) for the 64GB + 2TB version.
The console features an 8-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and support for VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). The screen reaches a peak brightness of 500 nits and supports 10-point multi-touch input. This makes it suitable for a variety of gaming environments, both indoors and outdoors. The use of a capacitive joystick with electrode contactless sensing is expected to improve input accuracy and reduce wear compared to traditional analog sticks.

Powering the device is a 72.7Wh battery, which is relatively large for a handheld gaming console. AOKZOE also includes a bypass power supply feature, allowing users to run the device on external power without cycling the battery, which may help extend battery lifespan over time.
In terms of connectivity, the A1X includes two USB4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 Gen2 port, and an Oculink port. The inclusion of the Oculink port is notable, as it allows users to connect the device to an external GPU, potentially expanding its graphical capabilities when docked.

With these specifications, the AOKZOE A1X is positioned to compete with other high-end handheld PCs on the market. While the final performance and usability will depend on real-world testing, the hardware and pricing suggest that AOKZOE is targeting users who want a compact gaming experience without compromising on performance.
Pre-orders are currently live on Minixpc.com, with shipments expected to begin shortly after the pre-sale period ends.
