Beelink Mini S - A Small and Cheap Mini Launched with Celeron N5095 Jasper Lake Processor

Meet Beelink Mini S, a small and inexpensive desktop with Celeron N5095 Jasper Lake. Check out the details and specifications of this mini PC. Beelink Mini S is a compact computer with a 15-watt quad-core Intel Celeron N5095 processor based on Intel's Jasper Lake architecture, 8GB of RAM and support for up to two displays and up to two internal storage devices. It is now available from Beelink for $229 or more.

The Beelink Mini S has a footprint of 102 x 155 millimeters and, according to the manufacturer, is only 41 millimeters high. An Intel Celeron N5095 is used as the processor. The Jasper Lake chip is equipped with four cores and offers a base clock frequency of two gigahertz, which can increase to up to 2.9 GHz in burst mode. The cooling is active.

The Beelink Mini S is available with eight gigabytes of RAM, which can be upgraded to a capacity of up to 16 gigabytes. A 128 or 256 gigabyte SSD in M.2 format serves as mass storage. It is possible to install a second M.2 SSD, but this is then only connected via SATA. In addition, an SSD or hard drive in 2.5-inch format can be installed, which means that larger amounts of files can be stored comparatively cheaply.

For wireless connectivity it includes dual-band Wi- Fi aC and Bluetooth 4.0. As for connectors, we have 4 USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5 mm audio jack with microphone support, a Gigabit Ethernet port and 2 HDMI 2.0a video outputs that allow us to play 4K@60fps video without problems. Among the included accessories we find a small external power supply, VESA compatible anchor, two HDMI cables and the installed operating system is Windows 11 activated.

If it looks familiar, there's a good reason for that: the Beelink Mini S appears to be a slightly smaller, slightly cheaper alternative to the Beelink U59 released last year. The two computers have the same processor and similar basic specifications. Both feature Celeron N5095 processors, 8GB of DDR4-2400 memory, support for WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 4.0, and a set of ports that include:

  • 2 x HDMI
  • 4 x USB 3.0 Type-A
  • 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio
  • 1 x DC power

But the Beelink U59 also has a USB Type-C port that can be used for video or data, which means the model can support up to three monitors. The omission of the USB-C port on the Mini S seems to have allowed Beelink to shrink the chassis a bit, although you wouldn't know this from the measurements listed on the Beelink website, which seem to indicate that the new model is larger, even though the photos show that should be the same size or smaller as it has fewer ports.

Either way, it's a little cheaper than the U59, with a lower starting price… though that could be due to the entry-level model also having less storage.

Finally, here's the price list for Beelink's two N5095-equipped mini PCs:

  • Beelink Mini S with 8GB/128GB for $229
  • Beelink U59 with 8GB/256GB for $239
  • Beelink Mini S 8GB/256GB for $249
  • Beelink U59 with 16GB/500GB for $309
