GMKTec EVO-X5 Pro Debuts at IFA 2026 With 192GB LPDDR5X

GMKTec is bringing a serious amount of memory to the mini PC market with its new EVO-X5 Pro, showcased at IFA 2026. The compact system pairs AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor with 192GB of high-speed unified memory, giving it the hardware capacity to handle workloads that would normally require a much larger desktop.

At the heart of the EVO-X5 Pro is AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, featuring 16 cores and 32 threads based on the Zen 5 architecture. GMKTec has paired the processor with 192GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8533MT/s. The system offers up to 273GB/s of memory bandwidth, which should be useful for workloads that move large amounts of data between the CPU and integrated GPU.

The Radeon 8065S integrated graphics can use up to 160GB of the system's unified memory. This unusually large GPU memory allocation is one of the main features GMKTec is targeting at AI users. The company says the EVO-X5 Pro can run AI models with up to 300 billion parameters locally, although real-world performance will depend on the model, quantization, and workload.

GMKTec has also equipped the mini PC with a strong selection of high-speed connectivity options. The front panel includes two USB4 ports, while the rear adds two USB4 v2 ports. There are also two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, making the system suitable for high-speed networking, local storage setups, and professional workloads.

The EVO-X5 Pro will initially be offered only as a flagship 192GB configuration. GMKTec says buyers looking for lower memory capacities can consider its existing Strix Halo-based mini PCs instead.

The system will be available in black and silver. A front-mounted F-MODE button provides three preset TDP modes, allowing users to adjust the system's power profile without navigating through software. Switching between modes also triggers a short on-screen animation to confirm the selected setting.

GMKTec has not announced pricing or availability for the EVO-X5 Pro yet. More details are expected as the company moves closer to its commercial launch.
