GPD has officially expanded its MicroPC 2 lineup with a new variant powered by the Intel Core i3-N300 processor. The company first introduced the MicroPC 2 in July 2025 with an Intel N250 quad-core “Twin Lake” chip, and the upgraded model is now available on Indiegogo, with wider market availability planned for the Chinese mainland later this year.

The MicroPC 2 continues GPD’s approach of delivering compact yet fully equipped mobile systems. The device weighs just 490 grams and integrates a 7-inch LTPS display with a 1920 × 1080 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness, and ten-point multitouch support. The screen features a 180-degree hinge design, giving users greater flexibility when working in different environments.

The new version features Intel’s Core i3-N300, an octa-core Alder Lake-N processor, paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5-4800 memory and a 512 GB M.2 2280 SSD. Connectivity remains one of the strongest aspects of the MicroPC 2, as the system includes two USB-A 10 Gbps ports, two USB-C 10 Gbps full-function ports, an HDMI 2.1 interface, a UHS-I microSD card reader, a 2.5 GbE RJ45 Ethernet port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. For wireless networking, the device is equipped with an Intel AX201 card, supporting Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Input options include a compact backlit keyboard, a three-button mouse layout, and a precision touchpad, providing multiple ways to interact with the system.

Pricing and Availability

The Intel N250 configuration of the GPD MicroPC 2 is priced at $385 USD in China and $495 on Indiegogo. The newly introduced Intel Core i3-N300 version is available at 560 USD on Indiegogo, with future availability expected in China.

By introducing a higher-performance processor option, GPD is positioning the MicroPC 2 as a more versatile tool for professionals and enthusiasts seeking a compact device with strong connectivity features in a handheld form factor.
