MSI Unveils FORGE GK600 W DUKE Limited Edition Mechanical Keyboard in China

MSI has officially announced the launch of the FORGE GK600 W DUKE Limited Edition gaming keyboard through its Weibo channel. This new release is part of MSI’s “Dragon Duke” product theme, a visual style inspired by the brand’s DUKE series of graphics cards. While the keyboard has been introduced online, it has not yet appeared on major Chinese retail platforms such as JD.com.

The FORGE GK600 W DUKE Limited Edition features a 75% compact layout, offering a balance between form factor and functionality. It comes with a black chassis, and keycap customization adds a unique touch to the appearance. The ESC, Windows, and Enter keys are finished in purple to highlight the DUKE branding, while the rest of the keycaps remain in matte black. Additionally, MSI includes three replaceable DUKE-themed custom keycaps in the box for users who want further personalization.

The keyboard uses a Gasket mount structure, which is commonly preferred for providing a softer and quieter typing experience. The keycaps are made from PBT material and printed using a thermal sublimation process, which is known for better wear resistance and durability compared to standard ABS keycaps.

Under the keycaps, MSI equips the keyboard with KTT Star Purple linear mechanical switches. According to the specifications, these switches feature a total travel distance of 3.5±0.3mm, with an actuation point at 1.85±0.3mm. The actuation force is rated at 43±5gf, and the bottom-out force is 50±5gf. These characteristics are targeted at users who prefer smooth, uninterrupted keystrokes without tactile feedback.

The GK600 W DUKE also supports full-key hot-swapping, allowing users to replace switches without soldering. It includes full-key anti-ghosting, ensuring that multiple key presses are registered accurately during fast-paced gaming or intensive typing sessions.

The keyboard features an integrated display screen in the upper right corner, capable of showing custom images and real-time keyboard parameters. This adds interactivity and system feedback for the user. Additionally, it offers per-key RGB backlighting with support for up to 16.8 million colors, enabling extensive lighting customization through software.

The GK600 W DUKE Limited Edition supports three modes of connectivity: wired USB, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth, catering to different usage scenarios from desktop setups to mobile use.

MSI has not yet shared details regarding pricing or availability outside of its initial reveal, and the product is currently not listed on JD.com or other mainstream platforms in China. Further information on regional availability and launch schedules is expected in the coming weeks.
