Valkyrie Teases VK99 Pro Mechanical Keyboard with Dual Variants and New Switch Design
Valkyrie officially revealed early details of its upcoming mechanical keyboard, the VK99 Pro "Colorful Key Shadow". The keyboard will be available in two different versions, named “Light Volume” and “Dark Volume”. Both versions follow a Roman-style theme and share the same hardware design and features.
The VK99 Pro stands out with its full keyboard thermal sublimation design. Each key features five-sided dye-sublimated printing, giving the keyboard a consistent and artistic appearance. This design is carried across all keys and adds a more decorative touch to the overall layout.
Inside, the VK99 Pro uses a gasket-mounted structure combined with five layers of sound-absorbing material. This setup is intended to reduce keystroke noise and provide a more cushioned, elastic feel when typing. The keyboard supports full-key hot-swapping, allowing users to change switches without soldering. It also includes a full-area quick-release system for both switches and knobs, making maintenance and customization more accessible. The lighting is positioned lower on the board to create a more balanced visual effect.
Valkyrie has developed a new switch called the “Qianhui switch” for this model. According to the company, this switch addresses the common issue of keycap wobble and improves overall stability. The switches are designed to give a more solid and reliable keypress feel, which may appeal to users who prefer consistent performance across all keys.
The VK99 Pro is powered by a chip designed to deliver a low response delay. Valkyrie states the keyboard can achieve a 1ms response time, which meets the needs of users looking for quick input performance, especially in fast-paced usage scenarios like gaming or rapid typing.
The keyboard is also equipped with an 8000mAh battery. With the backlight turned on, the VK99 Pro can run for up to 60 hours on a full charge. With the backlight off, the battery life can extend up to 35 days, depending on usage habits and connection mode.
Connectivity options include wired, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless, making the VK99 Pro suitable for different setups and environments.
