BEITONG Releases Firmware Update for KP50 Controller, Adds Tetris Mini-Game and Customization Features
BEITONG has officially rolled out a firmware update for its second-generation KP50 game controller, bringing new features, including a built-in Tetris mini-game and enhanced customization options. The controller, which was originally launched in March this year, now offers additional interactive elements on its integrated display.
Tetris Mini-Game and New Functionalities
The highlight of this update is the addition of a Tetris mini-game, accessible directly through the controller’s small screen. Players can choose from three difficulty levels, making the game suitable for both casual and experienced users. Additionally, game operation instructions have been mapped to the screenshot key for easy access.
Another enhancement introduced in this update is the personalized wallpaper pure display mode. Users can now toggle the newly added homepage "prompt" switch to remove text from the wallpaper, offering a cleaner and more customizable display.
Smart Screen 2.0 and Advanced Features
The KP50 controller features BEITONG’s upgraded "Smart Screen 2.0," which allows users to adjust parameters in real time, set wallpapers, and explore various mini-games. With this update, the display’s functionality has been further refined, giving users more control over how they interact with the controller’s built-in screen.
Hardware and Performance
BEITONG has equipped the KP50 with a range of hardware improvements aimed at enhancing gameplay precision. The controller includes a fine-tuned TMR joystick with three levels of damping adjustment, a high-precision capacitive joystick, and a TMR dual-cut vibration trigger that supports both instant micro-switch and linear feedback.
The KP50 also features optical axis ABXY buttons and a patented omnidirectional cross key. It supports a 1000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes, ensuring fast response times during gameplay.
Connectivity and Battery Life
The controller supports multiple connectivity options, including wired, wireless (2.4GHz and Bluetooth), and NFC image transmission for Android devices. It is powered by an 1800mAh built-in battery and supports both wired and smart charger-based charging. Additionally, a new USB expansion port has been integrated for improved connectivity.
With this firmware update, BEITONG continues to enhance the KP50 controller’s usability by introducing new gaming elements and customization options, further solidifying its position in the competitive gaming peripherals market.
