CWWK Unveils X86-P5 Fanless Mini PC with Dual 2.5GbE Ports and Intel Core i3-N305 CPU

CWWK announced the release of the X86-P5, a fanless mini PC designed for versatility and efficiency. Packed with features and a starting price as low as $149, the X86-P5 is set to capture the market's attention with its compact form factor and powerful capabilities.

At the heart of the X86-P5 is an Intel Alder Lake-N processor, boasting a 6-watt power consumption for energy efficiency. The system supports up to 32GB of DDR5 memory and offers configurations with an Intel Core i3-N305 octa-core processor. Positioned as a firewall appliance due to its dual 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports, the X86-P5 is primed for various applications beyond its intended use.

Key features of the X86-P5 include:

  • 6-watt Alder Lake-N processor
  • Up to 32GB DDR5-4800 memory
  • Dual 2.5 Gb Ethernet ports (Intel i1226-V)
  • 2 connector for PCIe 3.0 x2 NVMe or SATA SSD
  • 2 x HDMI 2.0 ports
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports (10 Gbps)

Additionally, the mini PC provides expansion options with an M.2 2230 connector for an optional wireless card. The motherboard sports a "non-standard" 12-pin connector, potentially allowing users to add a 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD, although the practicality of this in a compact, fanless design is debatable.

For enhanced cooling, the X86-P5 features an aluminum alloy chassis with top fins to dissipate heat effectively. Users also have the option to attach a fan to the top of the case using four available holes. While the system offers two USB 2.0 pins inside for optional rear panel expansion, users should note that speeds for these ports are limited to 480 Mbps. The X86-P5's dimensions of 112 x 100 x 40mm (4.4" x 3.9" x 1.6") highlight its compact design, making it suitable for various environments.

Whether used as a firewall appliance or for other applications, the CWWK X86-P5 stands out as a cost-effective and versatile solution for users seeking a powerful yet compact computing option.

The base model, available on the CWWK website, starts at $149 and includes an Intel N100 quad-core processor with no memory or storage. However, users can opt for configurations with up to 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, including models available on popular platforms like Amazon and AliExpress.
