GameSir G7 Pro Dragon’s Dogma 2 Edition Controller Announced with TMR Sticks
GameSir has introduced a new variant of its G7 Pro controller, drawing visual inspiration from Dragon’s Dogma 2 while keeping the same hardware foundation found in its recent lineup. The new edition is positioned as a mid-range option with expanded platform support and a focus on durability, particularly around its analog stick implementation.
The controller builds on earlier G7 models and carries over features such as tri-mode connectivity, allowing it to operate across Xbox consoles, PC, and Android devices. Wired support remains standard for Xbox, while PC users can choose between wired and 2.4 GHz wireless connections. Bluetooth is reserved for Android compatibility, and a physical switch is included to toggle between modes without additional setup.

The company combines elements of traditional potentiometer-based designs with Hall Effect systems, aiming to balance responsiveness with reduced mechanical wear. This approach is designed to address common issues such as stick drift over extended use while maintaining consistent input tracking. GameSir also notes that this is the first Xbox-licensed controller to feature TMR sticks, which could appeal to users exploring alternatives to standard analog designs.
On the trigger side, Hall Effect sensors are used to deliver linear input, which can be useful in racing and shooter titles. The addition of Micro Switch trigger stops allows users to switch to a shorter actuation mode when faster inputs are needed. When connected to PC, the controller can reach a polling rate of up to 1000 Hz in wired or 2.4 GHz modes, which may help reduce input delay depending on the setup.
The controller also includes four programmable buttons, split between two additional bumpers and two rear-mounted inputs. These can be configured through the GameSir Nexus 2.0 software, which supports further adjustments such as stick response curves, gyroscope tuning, and button remapping. A built-in gyroscope is available for PC users, expanding control options in supported games.
In terms of physical feedback, the G7 Pro Dragon’s Dogma 2 Edition uses optical Micro Switch buttons for the main inputs and a mechanical Micro Switch D-pad. Four rumble motors are integrated across the controller body, including the triggers, to provide more localized vibration effects during gameplay.
The themed design is applied through a magnetic faceplate system featuring artwork based on Dragon’s Dogma 2. The faceplate can be swapped with others from the G7 series, and additional D-pad options are included in the package. A charging dock is also bundled, supporting automatic charging for the built-in 1200 mAh battery and offering storage space for the wireless receiver.
The controller is available through GameSir’s official store at $89.99 / £99.99, with plans to expand availability to other retailers. With its mix of updated stick technology, multi-platform compatibility, and bundled accessories, this release continues GameSir’s push into the Xbox-compatible controller segment.
