GPD MicroPC 2 Launches with Larger 7-Inch Display and Enhanced Connectivity
GPD has officially launched the MicroPC 2 mini notebook, introducing several upgrades over its predecessor. The device is now available in China at a starting price of 2,999 yuan (approximately $410 USD), offering a compact form factor with improved hardware specifications.

The GPD MicroPC 2 features a 7-inch display, up from the 6-inch panel on the original model. The screen delivers a resolution of 1920x1080 at 60Hz and supports 10-point multi-touch input. With a peak brightness of 500 nits, it is designed to provide better visibility in various lighting environments. The hinge supports 360-degree rotation, allowing the notebook to function in multiple modes, including laptop and tablet configurations

In terms of build, the MicroPC 2 measures 171.2 x 110.8 x 23.5 mm and weighs 490 grams, maintaining its portable nature for users who require a compact computing solution. The device integrates a two-in-one fingerprint sensor and power button for added convenience and security.
Under the hood, the MicroPC 2 is powered by an Intel N250 processor, featuring four cores and four threads with a thermal design power (TDP) range of 6W to 15W. It comes equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 4800 MT/s, and storage is handled by a 512GB M.2 2280 SSD, providing both speed and capacity in a small form factor.
Connectivity options have been expanded to meet a variety of use cases. The mini notebook offers two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, a microSD card reader, and an RJ45 Ethernet port for wired networking. This wide range of ports aims to support users who rely on multiple peripherals and external displays.
Powering the device is a 27.5Wh battery, which supports 45W Power Delivery (PD) fast charging as well as bypass charging. These features are intended to extend battery lifespan and reduce downtime during intensive tasks.
The GPD MicroPC 2 is positioned for professionals and enthusiasts seeking a highly portable system that does not compromise on essential features. With its updated display, improved performance, and expanded connectivity, the device targets users who require flexibility in a compact form.
