Rapoo Introduces VT3 2nd-Gen and VT7 Dual-Mode Gaming Mice with Nordic 54 Series Chip
Rapoo has released two new gaming mice, the VT3 2nd-Gen and VT7 series. Both models use the newly launched Nordic 54L15 chip and weigh only 53 grams. These mice support dual-mode connectivity (excluding Bluetooth) and start at a price of 199 yuan.
The VT3 2nd-Gen features an ergonomic design shaped for right-handed users. It supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes and has a response time of 0.125 milliseconds. The mouse is powered by an 800mAh rechargeable battery, offering battery life that ranges from 110 to 500 hours depending on use.

This version marks a shift in the main chip, moving from Realtek in the previous model to the Nordic 54L15. The sensor options remain the same as the earlier version. The standard VT3 comes with a Pixart 3398 sensor, while the VT3 MAX version includes a Pixart 3950 Ultimate sensor. The standard version uses Omron mechanical switches, and the MAX version has been updated to use a customized optical microswitch.
The VT3 MAX also offers an increase in sensitivity. The maximum DPI has been raised from 30,000 to 45,000, providing finer control for users who need higher precision during fast-paced gameplay.
The VT7 series is built with a symmetrical shape, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed users. It shares several key features with the VT3 2nd-Gen, including the Nordic 54L15 chip, dual 8,000Hz polling rates for wired and wireless use, and the same 800mAh battery.
Like the VT3, the VT7 offers different versions with varying sensor and switch options. Depending on the model, users can choose between the Pixart 3398 or 3950 Ultimate sensors. Switches include Omron mechanical or Rapoo’s customized optical versions.
With both models, Rapoo continues to focus on reducing weight while offering performance options for different gaming needs. The use of the Nordic 54 series chip marks a new direction in the brand’s approach to wireless performance and responsiveness. These mice are aimed at gamers who want a lightweight, high-performance tool with flexible features, without raising the price significantly.
