Xiaomi Crowdfunds New High-End Strix Halo Mini PC with Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 128GB RAM
Xiaomi has introduced a new high-performance mini PC through its crowdfunding platform, Youpin. Branded as the “Star Core Super AI Computer,” the system is manufactured by a Chinese company called Linglong. It is based on AMD’s top-tier Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, which is part of the latest Strix Halo lineup. The compact desktop is currently available for early backers at CNY 13,999 (around $1,941), with the final retail price set to increase to CNY 15,999 (approximately $2,218) after the campaign ends.

Although listed on Xiaomi’s platform, the mini PC is not developed by Xiaomi itself. Linglong is responsible for its design and manufacturing. The chassis design appears to be nearly identical to the H02 model produced by LCFC, a Lenovo subsidiary. That model also resembles the Corsair AI Workstation 300, suggesting that many compact desktop manufacturers are now aligning toward a similar industrial design for AI-capable mini systems.
The internal specifications target users who need a compact but powerful system. It features 128GB of LPDDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD. Out of the total RAM, up to 96GB can be assigned as VRAM for the integrated Radeon 8060S graphics processor. According to test data, this GPU delivers performance that is roughly equivalent to the NVIDIA RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, which makes it capable of handling both demanding graphics applications and AI processing tasks.
For connectivity, the mini PC is equipped with a broad selection of ports: two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, three USB 3.2 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB4 ports, a 2.5G Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the wireless side, it supports WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The system also includes two PCIe 4.0 slots for additional SSD upgrades and has a 120W performance mode for demanding workloads.
While the product is not expected to launch globally, similar Ryzen AI Max+ 395-based systems like the GMKtec EVO-X2, Colorful Smart 900, and Corsair’s AI Workstation 300 have already been released in international markets. This provides users outside China with alternative options featuring similar specifications and performance.
Xiaomi’s decision to host Linglong’s new system on its Youpin platform highlights growing interest in compact AI-focused computing solutions with workstation-class capabilities.
