AOOSTAR Unveils MACO 47 Mini PC With Ryzen AI 9 HX470 and Triple PCIe Gen4 Storage
AOOSTAR has introduced the MACO 47 mini PC, a compact desktop system powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI processor series. The device combines a small form factor with modern connectivity and fast storage expansion, targeting users who need strong CPU performance and flexible I/O in a space-efficient design.

The system is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX470 processor, which features 12 cores and 24 threads. The chip is designed for high-performance mobile platforms and integrates AI acceleration capabilities through a dedicated neural processing unit. This supports workloads such as content creation tools, local AI-assisted applications, and multitasking scenarios that benefit from additional compute resources.

AOOSTAR pairs the processor with 32GB of onboard LPDDR5 memory operating at 8533 MT/s. Using high-speed memory can improve responsiveness in applications that require large datasets or multiple background processes. The company states that the MACO 47 supports up to three PCIe Gen4 ×4 M.2 solid-state drives, providing a considerable amount of high-speed storage capacity for a mini PC. This configuration may appeal to users working with large media libraries, software development environments, or virtual machines.

The enclosure uses a CNC-machined unibody aluminum alloy construction that provides structural rigidity while supporting thermal management. Metal chassis designs are commonly used in compact systems to improve heat dissipation while maintaining a clean exterior design.
Connectivity options are distributed across the front, side, and rear panels. The front includes two USB Type-A ports, one USB4 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. A side-mounted OCulink port provides an option for connecting compatible external PCIe devices, expanding the system’s flexibility for specialized hardware configurations.

Rear I/O includes dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports for high-speed wired networking, one USB4 port, one HDMI output, one DisplayPort output, and two additional USB Type-A ports. The combination of USB4 and multi-gigabit networking support allows the system to be used in both workstation and compact server environments.
The MACO 47 adds to the growing range of compact PCs powered by Ryzen AI processors, offering a balance of processing capability, modern connectivity, and expandable storage within a small chassis. Availability and pricing details have not been disclosed at the time of writing.
