Edifier Launches HECATE G5M Pro Gaming Mouse with Dual 8K Polling Rate and Hot-Swappable Switches
Edifier has officially opened pre-orders for its latest gaming mouse, the HECATE G5M Pro. Aimed at competitive gamers and enthusiasts, the G5M Pro brings a mix of performance-focused features including a dual 8K feedback rate, a high-end PAW3395 optical sensor, and the company’s proprietary hot-swappable switch technology.
The G5M Pro features a self-developed Q-click hot-swappable micro switch mechanism, enabling users to replace switches without any soldering required. It supports compatibility with over 90% of mechanical microswitches on the market. The design allows for straightforward disassembly and reassembly, while the snap-in system ensures the switches stay firmly in place during intense gameplay.
To provide a tailored experience, the G5M Pro supports three sets of micro switches, each optimized for different use cases. For FPS titles, the mouse comes with Omron red dot switches rated for 60 million clicks. For MOBA games, it includes Huanuo blue and pink dot switches rated at 80 million clicks. For quieter environments, users can install the Huanuo small pink dot silent switches, which have a lifespan of around 10 million clicks.
Weighing approximately 65 grams, the mouse is designed for extended gaming sessions without causing hand fatigue. It features dual 8K feedback, which improves tracking precision and input response. The Realtek controller works alongside the built-in PAW3395 sensor, delivering up to 32,000 DPI with overclocking, 650 inches-per-second (IPS) tracking speed, and up to 50G acceleration.
The G5M Pro is equipped with Flash Speed wireless technology to maintain a low-latency and stable wireless connection. Powering the device is a 550mAh lithium battery. When fully charged, it can last up to 143 hours, making it suitable for users who prefer fewer charging cycles.
Software customization is also a part of the offering. Through a dedicated driver, users can adjust the DPI in seven levels, with step intervals as low as 50 DPI. The driver also allows for macro setup, refresh rate adjustment, and complete button mapping.
