MCHOSE has announced the release of the Ace 68 Air, a wired mechanical keyboard featuring a compact 65% layout with 68 keys. The keyboard does not include a dedicated function row, allowing for a streamlined design while incorporating advanced magnetic switch technology. It is equipped with Kailh’s Hall effect-based Magnetic God switches, which enable precise actuation and durability.

Design and Aesthetics

The Ace 68 Air features a rounded chassis and is available in two color schemes: "Misty Peach Gradient" and "Highbrow." The keyboard incorporates a rear lightbox that supports MCHOSE Music Rhythm 2.0 lighting effects, enhancing its visual appeal. The bottom of the keyboard is fitted with a two-stage foot support for adjustable angles, while the key installation follows a suspended design to create a floating keycap effect.

Switch Performance and Technology

At the core of the Ace 68 Air are Kailh’s Hall effect magnetic switches. These switches feature a full key travel distance of 3.5mm, an initial actuation force of 35±5gf, and a lifespan rated for 100 million keystrokes. The keyboard’s processing system is built to optimize performance, supporting an 8KHz polling rate, a 128KHz scanning rate, and an ultra-low 0.1ms latency. With a precision of 0.01mm, the Ace 68 Air ensures highly responsive and customizable keystrokes.

The keyboard also includes multiple analog switch functionalities, such as Rapid Speed (RS) for faster actuation, Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Direction (SOCD) cleaning to prevent conflicting inputs, Dynamic Keystroke (DKS) customization, Mode Trigger (MT), and Toggle (TGL) for various input adjustments.

Internal Structure and Sound Dampening

MCHOSE has incorporated an aluminum alloy positioning plate within the Ace 68 Air to provide a stable typing experience. The keyboard features a multi-layer sound-absorbing and shock-dampening structure, which includes a built-in sandwich silicone layer, an under-switch pad, a PET voice actor pad, bottom cotton, and a silicone bottom pad. These materials work together to reduce noise and enhance keypress consistency.

RGB Lighting and Software Integration

The Ace 68 Air utilizes an upper light position design for its RGB backlighting. It supports 16 million colors and is powered by MCHOSE SOFTLIGHT technology, providing smooth and vivid illumination. Users can customize the lighting effects through MCHOSE’s software, synchronizing the RGB effects with music and other visual themes.

Conclusion

With its compact 65% layout, Hall effect magnetic switches, and high-speed processing capabilities, the MCHOSE Ace 68 Air is designed for users who require precision and customization. The combination of durable components, ergonomic design, and vibrant RGB lighting makes it a competitive choice for gamers and keyboard enthusiasts alike. Its advanced switch technology and software-driven features position it as a strong contender in the mechanical keyboard market.
