ASUS ROG Unveils ROG Falcata Split Gaming Keyboard and Harpe II Ace Mouse

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) introduced several new gaming peripherals today, with the ROG Falcata gaming keyboard drawing particular attention for its split design. This modular approach caters to FPS players and users who often rely on one side of the keyboard, offering increased flexibility and customization options.

The ROG Falcata uses a 75% layout, removing the number pad and excess keys to keep the footprint compact while retaining essential functions. What sets it apart is the ability to detach the keyboard halves, allowing for tailored setups and more comfortable positioning during gameplay. The keyboard supports hot-swapping, making it easy for users to switch out key switches without soldering.

Inside, ASUS has included its ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches, which come factory-lubricated. These switches support precise actuation adjustments down to 0.01mm, giving players granular control over key travel distance. The switches are rated for up to 100 million keystrokes, promising long-term durability. The Falcata also supports tri-mode connectivity, allowing it to connect via wired USB, 2.4 GHz wireless, or Bluetooth. The wireless mode supports a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz, and ASUS claims battery life can reach up to 610 hours, depending on usage.

For additional control, the keyboard includes a multi-function dial and customizable button. These inputs can adjust settings such as actuation point, Rapid Trigger sensitivity, audio volume, media playback, RGB lighting, and more. A dedicated switch on the top edge lets users quickly toggle Rapid Trigger mode as needed. Internally, the Falcata features a four-layer sound-dampening design to reduce noise and enhance typing feel. It also ships with two silicone wrist rests for added comfort.

Alongside the keyboard, ASUS also launched the ROG Harpe II Ace gaming mouse. This model has been developed in collaboration with professional esports players and is tailored for gamers who prefer a claw or fingertip grip. The Harpe II Ace features a bio-based nylon shell that keeps its weight down to just 48 grams. Subtle inward curves on the sides are designed to help players lift and reposition the mouse more easily during fast-paced action.

The Harpe II Ace is powered by a new generation MCU chip and uses the ROG AimPoint Pro optical sensor, offering up to 42,000 DPI. It also includes ROG optical micro switches rated for 100 million clicks. Like the Falcata, this mouse supports a true 8,000 Hz wireless polling rate, aiming to reduce latency and improve responsiveness in competitive scenarios.

Both the ROG Falcata and Harpe II Ace are positioned as high-end peripherals with a focus on customization, performance, and durability. ASUS has not yet announced specific pricing or availability details.
