GMKTec Teases New EVO-T1 Mini PC Featuring Intel Core Ultra 9-285H

GMKTec has released a teaser for its upcoming EVO-T1 Mini PC, confirming that the device will be powered by the Intel Core Ultra 9-285H processor. The company made the announcement through a social media post, with a full reveal expected on May 21. The EVO-T1 is scheduled to launch in July.

The EVO-T1 will be the latest addition to the company’s EVO Mini PC lineup, known for compact systems tailored to power users and professionals looking for high performance in a small form factor. This new model will feature the same floating appearance design seen in previous EVO devices. It maintains a compact profile, while offering a clean front panel layout focused on connectivity.

According to the images shared by GMKTec, the front of the EVO-T1 includes three USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. While the teaser does not show the rear I/O, past models have typically included additional USB ports, HDMI or DisplayPort outputs, and Ethernet connectivity. These details are expected to be clarified in the upcoming official announcement.

The main highlight of the EVO-T1 is its use of Intel’s Core Ultra 9-285H, part of the Meteor Lake series launched in late 2023. This processor combines high-performance P-cores and efficient E-cores on Intel’s latest architecture, alongside integrated AI acceleration and improved graphics performance through Intel Arc. The chip is built on the Intel 4 process and is targeted at thin laptops and high-end compact desktops.

This announcement comes at a time when GMKTec is still actively promoting its EVO-X2 Mini PC, which is built on AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 395 platform. That model is currently offered with up to 128GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 2TB SSD, targeting users in need of both CPU and memory bandwidth for demanding workloads.

While full hardware specifications for the EVO-T1 have not yet been disclosed, it is likely that the system will compete directly with the EVO-X2 by offering similar or improved memory and storage configurations, albeit with Intel’s latest CPU platform instead of AMD’s.

GMKTec is expected to provide additional information on May 21, including detailed specifications, pricing, and availability. With a July launch on the horizon, the EVO-T1 may be positioned as a high-performance Intel-based alternative to the AMD-powered EVO-X2, giving users more choice within the company’s Mini PC portfolio.
