Dareu Updates AE7 Wireless Gaming Mouse With AIM-3955 PRO Optical Sensor

Dareu has announced an updated version of its AE7 wireless gaming mouse, bringing improved sensor hardware while keeping the ergonomic design introduced with the original model. The new release replaces the previous AIM-750U sensor, which was based on the PixArt PAW3950 optical engine, with the newer AIM-3955 PRO sensor. The upgrade comes as optical sensor technology continues to improve, giving the refreshed AE7 higher-end tracking capabilities while maintaining the features that made the original model suitable for competitive gaming.

The updated AE7 continues to use the Nordic nRF54H20 wireless SoC, allowing the mouse to support dual 8KHz polling in both wired and wireless modes. Higher polling rates allow the mouse to report its position more frequently, reducing input delay on supported systems. Dareu also rates the mouse for a 20,000 FPS scan frame rate, alongside a maximum tracking speed of 750 IPS and acceleration of up to 60G. These specifications are intended to provide reliable tracking during quick flicks and fast movements commonly seen in FPS and esports titles.

The mouse is equipped with Omron mechanical microswitches rated for 100 million clicks, offering long-term durability for daily gaming and productivity use. Dareu has also retained its "Flying Boat" dock, which combines a magnetic wireless charging station with the 2.4GHz wireless receiver. Keeping the receiver close to the mouse can help maintain a stable wireless connection while providing a convenient charging solution when the mouse is not in use.

The overall shape of the AE7 remains unchanged. It is designed as a mid-to-large right-handed gaming mouse with an ergonomic profile that accommodates both claw and palm grip users. The left and right buttons feature guide grooves to help with finger placement, while the raised rear hump offers additional palm support during longer gaming sessions. Dareu has also added an elongated curve along the left side of the rear shell and increased the spacing between the side buttons, making them easier to distinguish during gameplay.

Internally, the AE7 uses a reinforced frame structure and incorporates Dareu's KBS Light button constant force technology, which is designed to deliver more consistent click feedback across the button surface. The outer shell is finished with an excimer laser-like coating that provides a smooth texture while improving grip and resistance to wear from extended use.

With the move to the AIM-3955 PRO sensor, the updated AE7 builds on the original model by combining faster tracking hardware with high-speed wireless connectivity, durable Omron switches, and a magnetic charging dock. Dareu has not yet announced pricing or availability for the refreshed gaming mouse.
