GMKTec Launches EVO-X2 Mini PC With AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 96GB RAM Option
GMKTec has officially announced the addition of a new mid-tier co
nfiguration for its EVO-X2 Mini PC lineup. The compact system, powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, will now be available with 96GB of memory and 1TB of storage. The new configuration enters pre-sale at 10,999 yuan (approx. $1,510 USD).
With this update, the EVO-X2 series offers three distinct storage and memory configurations. The highest-tier model ships with 128GB of RAM and 2TB storage at 14,999 yuan (approx. $2,060 USD). The newly introduced mid-tier option provides 96GB of RAM and 1TB storage at 10,999 yuan ($1,510 USD). The entry-level configuration comes with 64GB of RAM and 1TB storage for 9,999 yuan ($1,370 USD). Each step between tiers introduces an additional 32GB of system memory.
The EVO-X2 benefits from AMD’s latest driver support, which allows up to three-quarters of system memory to be allocated to the GPU. In the case of the 96GB configuration, up to 72GB can be dedicated to graphics processing. This feature enables the system to handle demanding workloads and large-scale inference models such as OpenAI GPT-OSS 120B, Mistral Large 123B, and Meta Llama 4 Scout 109B.
For cooling, the EVO-X2 uses a thermal solution consisting of dual fans and three heat pipes, with support for up to 140W performance output. The system also includes two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots for storage expansion. Networking is supported by a 2.5GbE wired Ethernet port and an RZ717 wireless card with Wi-Fi 7 compatibility.
