Inno3D's Upcoming GeForce RTX 4070 & RTX 4060 GPUs Feature Hidden Power Connectors

Inno3D has made an exciting announcement by unveiling its highly anticipated GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti GPUs. One noteworthy feature of these graphics cards is the inclusion of hidden power connectors, catering to users aiming for cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing PC builds. The launch took place discreetly during the recent Taipei Computer Show, where Inno3D showcased two distinct GPU designs: the GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports and the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti iChill X2 White. What sets these designs apart is their unique approach to power connector placement.

Unlike traditional graphics cards, where the power connectors are typically located on the side, Inno3D has ingeniously hidden the connectors on the inner side of the printed circuit board (PCB), neatly sandwiched between the heatsink and the backplate. This innovative design choice not only enhances the visual appeal of the GPUs but also contributes to a cleaner overall build for PC enthusiasts.

The Inno3D GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports GPU offers a convenient feature in the form of a removable section on its backplate. By lifting this section, users can easily access the power connector located underneath it. Unlike some other graphics cards that may require multiple cables, this card only needs either a single 16-Pin 12VHPWR or an 8-pin connector, simplifying the cable management process. Additionally, the power connectors are reversed at a 180-degree angle, further aiding in a clean and organized setup. Once the power connector is securely plugged in, users can simply put the backplate cover back on, resulting in a sleek appearance without any visible connectors. This design feature adds both practicality and aesthetics to the Inno3D GeForce RTX 4070 AX eSports GPU.

The Inno3D GeForce RTX 4060 Ti iChill X2 White may not boast the same expansive size as its counterpart, the RTX 4070, but it makes up for it in its practical design. One notable feature is the backplate that is securely attached to the card, ensuring stability and protection. However, when it comes to connecting the power, there's no need to go through the hassle of removing the entire backplate. In a clever design choice, a convenient gap is incorporated into the backplate, allowing users to effortlessly insert the power connector and route it through the back, simplifying the installation process.

In both scenarios, the power cable will extend towards the opposite side of the chassis, rather than facing the side panel. This design choice proves advantageous, especially for the 12VHPWR connectors, as it provides sufficient length for the cable to flex without necessitating the use of 90-degree connectors or adapters. Furthermore, the accompanying cards will come with white-colored cables, aligning with their aesthetic theme. This feature will undoubtedly appeal to gamers constructing white PCs, creating a seamless and visually pleasing setup.
