OPPO Pad officially Launched - Features and Price of the First OPPO’s Tablet PC

OPPO has presented the OPPO Pad, the company's first tablet that arrives together with its new OPPO Find X5 and that is a very interesting alternative. Along with the OPPO Find X5 and the OPPO Watch Free, the Chinese company has presented the OPPO Pad, a tablet that reaches an increasingly populated and more competitive market, and does so with some quite interesting features that make it a device to keep in mind if you are looking for a tablet. Due to its features, it seems that it will be one of the great alternatives to the Xiaomi Pad 5.

 The device is eye-catching due to its original, unique design. OPPO Pad will be available in three versions: black and purple and silver, which was co-created by James John, a world-renowned artist, illustrator and designer. In addition, the tablet is very slim - only 6.99 mm thick, and also light - weighs ~ 510 grams. The other dimensions are 252.2 mm in length and 163.8 mm in width.

The tablet is equipped with an LCD (LTPS) display with a diagonal of 11 inches and a WQXGA resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels (275 ppi), which refreshes the image and samples the touch at a frequency of 120 Hz, and has a contrast of 1500: 1 and provides a brightness of 480 nits. The screen can also be operated with a dedicated OPPO Pencil, which detects 4096 levels of pressure, has a sampling frequency of 240 Hz and weighs 16.5 grams.

The user can change brushes and erasers by double-tapping the stylus (anywhere) and quickly launch the application for taking notes when the tablet screen is turned off - just touch the display with the stylus tip. The manufacturer informs that mainstream applications, including WPS Office, are optimized to use Pencil. The stylus is charged magnetically, after attaching it to the side edge of the OPPO Pad - 1 minute of charging is enough for 20 minutes of writing, and a full charge for 11 hours of continuous writing.

The tablet has very efficient components - inside there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 3.2 GHz processor and from 6 GB to 8 GB RAM LPDDR4x 2133 MHz 4 × 16 bit and from 128 GB to 256 GB of built-in UFS 3.1 internal memory . Unfortunately, the device does not support memory cards, but the USB OTG function does.

In addition, the tablet offers, among others cameras with a resolution of 13 MP (f / 2.2) on the back and 8 MP (f / 2.0) on the front, gyroscope, Bluetooth 5.1 and WiFi 6 support , four speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio certificate and a USB-C port (USB 2.0), through which the battery with a capacity of 8,360 mAh is charged - the manufacturer has provided support for the SuperVOOC, VOOC 3.0, PD (9 V / 2 A) fast charging technology, as well as QC (9 V / 2 A). The device works under the control of Android 11 with ColorOS 12.0 .

Price and availability

The OPPO Pad has been launched in China, but there is still no announcement of its arrival in international Market. Oppo Pad comes in black and purple colors as well as a limited Artist Edition which dons silver hues. The baseline 6/128GB trim will retail for CNY 2,299 ($363) while the top of the line 8/256GB model will go for CNY 2,999 ($474). Open sales in China start on March 3. International pricing and availability were not detailed yet.
