ATK A9 Ultimate and A9 Air Master Edition+ Gaming Mice Launch with PixArt PAW3955 Sensor and 8K Polling
ATK is expanding its gaming peripheral lineup with the introduction of two new models, the A9 Ultimate Master Edition+ and the A9 Air Master Edition+, both designed around a shared platform but tuned for different usage preferences. The new releases continue ATK’s focus on lightweight performance gaming mice while introducing upgraded internal hardware aimed at competitive players who prioritize precision and responsiveness.
Both models are built around a custom PixArt PAW3955Master sensor, which is positioned as the core tracking solution for the series. The sensor is expected to deliver stable accuracy across fast-paced movements, making the mice suitable for FPS and esports-style gameplay. In addition to the sensor, both devices use the same 125×63.5×40 mm medium-sized shell, ensuring a consistent ergonomic feel across the lineup regardless of the selected variant.

The main differences between the two models come down to weight, battery capacity, and switch implementation. The A9 Ultimate Master Edition+ is the heavier and more endurance-focused version, featuring an 800mAh battery, ATK custom optical button microswitches, and a total weight of 55±3g. This configuration is designed for users who prefer longer usage sessions without frequent charging while still maintaining a competitive weight profile for gaming.
On the other hand, the A9 Air Master Edition+ is tuned for lower weight and faster responsiveness. It includes a smaller 300mAh battery, ATK high-speed optical button microswitches, and reduces the weight to 47±3g. This makes it more appealing for players who rely on quick flicks and fast mouse control, especially in high-intensity competitive scenarios.

Both models are powered by the Nordic Semiconductor nRF54L SoC, paired with ATK’s self-developed 54 series JueShark MAX mouse architecture. The inclusion of a TTC (Genuine Technology) gold wheel encoder adds consistent scroll feedback, which is often a key detail for long-term gaming use.
A key highlight across both versions is support for an 8,000Hz polling rate in both wired USB-C and 2.4GHz wireless modes. This high polling rate is increasingly becoming a feature in competitive gaming mice, reducing latency and improving input responsiveness for professional and enthusiast-level gaming setups.
The sensor technology is backed by PixArt Imaging, a well-known supplier in the gaming peripheral industry. Combined with ATK’s internal tuning, the A9 series aims to deliver a balance between precision tracking and lightweight design without moving into extreme experimental territory.
Overall, the A9 Ultimate and A9 Air Master Edition+ represent a refinement of ATK’s existing approach rather than a complete redesign, focusing on offering choice between endurance and ultra-light performance while maintaining consistent sensor and connectivity performance across both models.
