LucidSound LS500 Wireless Gaming Headset Launches with 50mm Drivers, Up to 70H Battery
The gaming audio segment continues to expand with new budget-friendly wireless solutions, and the latest entry comes from LucidSound, a sub-brand of PowerA, which has introduced its new LS500 Wireless Gaming Headset. The product is designed for players who want a single headset that can handle both gaming sessions and everyday audio use without requiring frequent charging or device switching. Positioned at an accessible price point, the LS500 aims to deliver a balanced mix of comfort, performance, and flexibility across multiple platforms.

The LS500 Wireless Gaming Headset features custom-tuned 50mm drivers that deliver clear and balanced stereo sound, making it suitable for competitive gaming as well as casual media consumption. It includes three EQ modes, allowing users to switch between Signature Sound, Bass Boost, and FPS tuning depending on their preference or gameplay style. Support for spatial audio technologies such as Windows Sonic and PlayStation 3D Audio further enhances positional awareness, which can be important in fast-paced multiplayer titles where directional sound cues matter.
Comfort has also been a central focus in the design of the LS500. The headset weighs just 265 grams and uses breathable, moisture-wicking ear cushions that help reduce heat buildup during long sessions. Eyeglass-friendly padding and swivel earcups improve overall wearability, while the lightweight frame helps reduce fatigue over extended use. On-ear controls provide quick access to audio adjustments, including a balance wheel on Xbox versions and mic monitoring on PlayStation variants. A flip-to-mute microphone is also included, allowing users to manage communication without interrupting gameplay.
Connectivity is another key area where the LS500 aims to stand out in its segment. The headset supports both low-latency wireless and Bluetooth modes, enabling users to switch between consoles, PCs, and mobile devices with minimal effort. This makes it suitable not only for gaming but also for calls, music, and general media use throughout the day. Battery performance is rated at up to 50 hours in wireless mode and up to 70 hours when using Bluetooth, which places it among longer-lasting options in its category.
The LS500 will be available in two versions, the LS500X for Xbox and the LS500P for PlayStation, both launching on May 19. Pricing is set at $69.99, with availability through major retailers including Amazon and PowerA’s official store, alongside other regional retail partners. With its combination of long battery life, multi-device support, and lightweight comfort-focused design, the LS500 enters a competitive space where versatility is becoming increasingly important for modern gamers.
