AYN Odin 3 Handheld Console Debuts on Indiegogo with Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition
AYN has officially started crowdfunding for its new Odin 3 handheld game console on Indiegogo. The device enters the portable gaming market as a large-screen Android-based console and is offered in four models, with retail prices beginning at $299.
Four Configurations Available
The Odin 3 lineup includes Basic, Pro, Max, and Ultra versions. All models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition processor, manufactured using a 3nm process technology. The chip features an 8-core architecture and an Adreno 830 GPU, designed to provide strong performance for emulation and Android gaming. According to AYN, the hardware can smoothly run most retro consoles and PC-based emulators.
Display and Visual Performance
Each Odin 3 unit is equipped with a 6-inch AMOLED screen at a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, offers a peak brightness of 650 nits, and delivers 152% sRGB color gamut coverage, aiming to provide smooth and vivid visuals during gameplay.
Battery and Charging Support
The handheld console carries an 8000mAh battery with support for up to 60W fast charging, ensuring extended playtime and quick recharge capability.
Controls and Connectivity
For controls, the Odin 3 integrates full-size Hall effect joysticks, four Hall trigger buttons, and backlit buttons with adjustable brightness. In terms of connectivity, the console includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C with 4K/60Hz video output, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a TF card slot. The device weighs 390 grams and comes preloaded with Android 15.
