EQi12 Mini PC with Intel Core i5-1235U for Lower Power and Noise

Beelink has introduced a refreshed version of its EQi12 Mini PC, this time built around the Intel Core i5-1235U processor. The updated model replaces the previous version that used the Intel Core i5-12450H and brings a different balance of performance and efficiency aimed at daily computing tasks.

The new chip configuration includes 2 performance cores and 8 energy-efficient cores, while the earlier i5-12450H featured 4 performance and 4 efficient cores. The integrated graphics also receive a notable boost, jumping from 48 execution units to 80, which helps with basic content creation and light image work. Beelink says the choice to move to a processor with more efficiency cores was made to better meet the needs of general office workloads without relying heavily on performance cores.

This shift also brings down the overall power consumption and reduces thermal output. Beelink claims the new model operates around 3 decibels quieter under full load compared to the previous version. This change supports the EQ series’ goal of being an “Energy saving & Quiet” product line.

The design and size of the unit remain unchanged. It keeps its compact 0.7L enclosure measuring 126×126×44.2mm and uses a built-in power supply. It supports dual-channel DDR4-3200 SODIMM memory and offers two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots for storage upgrades.

In terms of connectivity, the front panel includes one USB-C (10Gbps), one USB-A (10Gbps), a 3.5mm audio jack, a power button, and an LED status light. On the back, there are two USB-A (10Gbps) ports, one USB-A 2.0 (480Mbps), two HDMI 2.0 outputs, dual 1GbE Ethernet ports, and a power input. The system also includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity.

This update positions the Beelink EQi12 with i5-1235U as a more efficient and quieter option for users looking for a compact system that can handle daily office tasks, light multimedia work, and general-purpose use without unnecessary power draw or noise.
