MINISFORUM Releases M1 Pro Mini PC with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Ultra 9 Processors
MINISFORUM has introduced a new compact desktop model, the M1 Pro Mini PC. This release focuses on space efficiency while offering updated internal hardware and connectivity. The unit comes with a clean design and offers two CPU options: the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H and Core Ultra 9 285H. Prices start at $383 for the base model.
The case is built using CNC-machined aluminum with a compact footprint of 128 x 126 mm. Height differs slightly depending on the processor variant—52 mm for the Ultra 5 model and 52.5 mm for the Ultra 9. The rear panel is finished in black, while the overall design maintains a minimalist look suitable for home, office, or light workstation setups.
The M1 Pro supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory using two SODIMM slots. The Core Ultra 5 configuration supports DDR5-5600, while the Ultra 9 model supports DDR5-6400. Storage includes two M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD slots, each supporting up to 4TB, giving users a total potential of 8TB. For cooling, the system uses two fans and dual pure copper heat pipes to manage thermal output under load.
On the front I/O, the M1 Pro offers one USB4 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The rear panel includes one additional USB4 port, one USB-A 2.0, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, a 2.5G Ethernet port, and an OCuLink connector for external PCIe device support. The system is also equipped with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless connectivity.
The inclusion of USB4 and OCuLink offers flexibility for users planning to connect external GPUs or high-speed accessories. With strong memory and storage support, along with the latest networking features, the M1 Pro is a compact PC suitable for various productivity workloads.
