GEEKOM, the innovative technology company, took the stage at the CES 2024 exhibition to showcase its latest creation, the APro8 Max Mini PC. This highly anticipated device, initially previewed in December 2023, has garnered significant attention for its unique design resembling a game console and its impressive internal specifications featuring the yet-to-be-officially-released AMD Ryzen 9 8940HS processor and Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics.

The APro8 Max Mini PC stands out not only for its powerful internals but also for its distinctive appearance. When vertically positioned on its stand, the device measures 92 mm x 193 x 252 mm (3.6 inches x 7.6 inches x 9.9 inches). In a horizontal orientation without the stand, the dimensions change to 234 x 193 x 62 mm (9.2 inches x 7.6 inches x 2.4 inches). The compact and sleek design adds to the allure of the APro8 Max.

One of the highlights of this mini PC is its utilization of the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HS processor, complemented by AMD Radeon 780M core graphics and Radeon RX 7600M XT independent graphics. It's worth noting that the AMD Ryzen 9 8940HS processor has not been officially released, leading to speculation that the device might be equipped with the yet-to-be-launched AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS or, possibly, a processor that AMD has not unveiled to the public.

The APro8 Max offers impressive expandability with 2 SODIMM slots supporting DDR5-5600 memory, allowing for a maximum capacity of 64GB. Additionally, it boasts 2 M.2 2280 slots for PCIe Gen 4×4 storage, ensuring fast and efficient data access. Connectivity features include support for WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, making it a versatile and well-connected device.

In terms of ports, the APro8 Max Mini PC doesn't disappoint. It comes equipped with 2 USB4 Type-C ports, 6 USB 3.2 Type-A ports, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 2 DisplayPort 1.4 ports, 2 2.5GbE Ethernet ports, a 3.5mm microphone input, a 3.5mm headphone output, and an SD card reader. This extensive array of ports caters to various user needs, enhancing the device's functionality.

Despite the buzz generated by the APro8 Max, GEEKOM has not disclosed pricing details as of yet. However, the company has confirmed its plans to release the APro8 Max Mini PC to the market in the third quarter of 2024. Enthusiasts and tech aficionados alike are eagerly awaiting further information, anticipating a game-changing addition to the world of compact computing.
