Huawei MateBook E is announced with Windows 11, Intel Core i7 and 2-in-1 design
The Huawei follows circumventing the US embargo on their latest releases. And the big news at the time was the MateBook E, a tablet with Windows 11 OS and Intel processors that transforms into a notebook thanks to two stylish cover options. The MateBoook E is a 2 in 1 tablet, with the proposal to work both as a tablet and notebook. By attaching its cover (which has its own keyboard) it can be used as a laptop. This 2-in-1 model caters to diverse audiences, from designers to those who like portable setups. That's because it has three modes of use: notebook mode, creative mode and tablet mode.
The new device features an extremely thin and symmetrical screen with a size of 12.7 inches, a slightly higher 16:10 aspect ratio than the traditional one, as well as a 2K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels). Equipped with 11th generation Intel processors, namely the Core i5 (1130G7) and Core i7 (1160G7), the model also offers integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and options with 8GB and 16GB of RAM memory with 256 and 512GB of storage.
For the camera, the device only offers a 16 MP rear sensor and a front 8 MP video call sensor located on the top edge (with the tablet lying flat). With up to 8 hours of battery life, Huawei highlights that the MateBook E supports 65W fast charging, with just 30 minutes connected to the battery providing 54% battery and a full charge in just 90 minutes.
The device has a side biometric reader integrated into the power button, in addition to a stylus pen holder M Pencil that magnetically attaches to the upper region of the tablet and automatically recharges. Another highlight is the two covers with integrated keyboards. A premium model, available only in black, stands out for its ingenious design that, as it is opened, slides the keyboard base to adjust the angle of the screen. This model also has a USB-C port for charging.
The more affordable model, available in blue and black and without a USB-C connector, connects with magnets on the back cover and has an adjustable flap for greater flexibility in angle control.
