Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 2022 High-Performance All-in-One PC Review

All-in -one computers are a rather special category. The smaller screen of the notebook and the large size of the desktop are not inconvenient for some families who need a home computer . An all-in-one PC with a small footprint and a large enough screen can well meet the needs of this segment of the market. As an industry leader, Lenovo has been deeply cultivating the all-in-one computer market in these years, especially the Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) series high-performance all-in-one machine has been widely welcomed. Recently, Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) ushered in a new 2022 model, let us take a closer look.

The Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) has been upgraded to the latest AMD Ryzen 6000H series processors. This time I got the highest configuration version, equipped with a Ryzen 7 6800H processor and an AMD Radeon RX6600M discrete graphics card. On the screen side is a 27-inch 4K panel. It is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and 1TB of PCIe3.0 SSD.

The top version Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) evaluated in this article is priced at 10,999 yuan, another Ryzen 7 6800H 16GB+1TB integrated display version is priced at 7,999 yuan, and the low-end Ryzen 5 6600H integrated display version is priced at 7,699 yuan.

Design & Appearance

The front of the fuselage is a 27-inch 4K screen with a standard resolution of 3840×2160 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The ultra-narrow bezels on all sides are visually consistent and are very friendly to obsessive-compulsive disorder.

In terms of color gamut, it supports up to 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and also provides sRGB mode, which can achieve 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, making it more friendly when retouching. And each Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) has undergone factory color calibration, and the color standard ΔE<2.

The consistent feature of the Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) series is that it supports 90° rotation to portrait mode. However, it is a pity that the Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) canceled the previously well-received mobile phone wireless screen projection function for unknown reasons.

The measured default color gamut can reach 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

In the actual measurement, the average ΔE is only 0.52, and the maximum ΔE is only 0.7. Screen performance is very good.

The square "stand" is the body of the fuselage. The pitch can be adjusted through the shaft of the base. The screen body can also be raised and lowered. When it reaches the highest position, turn it to the right to enter the vertical screen mode.

On the left side of the fuselage is a full-featured USB-C interface that supports 95W power supply and DP1.4 one-line connection as a display. The circular switch below is the switch between the all-in-one machine and the one-line display mode. The USB-A interface on this side is 3.2Gen2 standard 10Gbps speed.

On the right side of the fuselage is an OSD button for monitor settings, below is the power button, and the bottom hole is the Lenovo one-key restore button.

Most of the interfaces are located on the back of the fuselage, from left to right are the square port power supply, DP1.4 video output, USB-A 3.2Gen2, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, two USB2 available in all-in-one and one-line connection mode .0 interface, and a USB-C 3.2Gen2 interface.

In general, the number of USB interfaces is sufficient, but unfortunately the two shared interfaces are only USB2.0 standard. In terms of video interface, it will be much more convenient if you can give a more versatile HDMI IN/OUT interface.

A separate camera interface is reserved on the top of the fuselage, and a 2.5K resolution high-definition camera can be installed separately, supporting advanced functions such as FaceID and beauty.

The lower part of the front of the fuselage is a set of JBL speakers, including two 5W sounding units and a woofer, and supports Dolby Atmos.

The internal structure can be seen by prying open the buckle of the back cover of the fuselage. On the top are two huge turbo cooling fans , and the bottom half of the motherboard is covered by a whole metal shield.

Remove the shield to see the details of the motherboard and cooling module. It can be seen that there are a total of 6 heat pipes, and the scale of the cooling module is quite exaggerated. And the memory is also covered with separate heatsinks and heatpipes.

The size of the 2.1 specification speaker unit is much larger than that of notebook products, and the sound quality and volume are very sincere.

Two M.2 positions are reserved, and the standard configuration is a Samsung PM991A with a capacity of 1TB, which is a PCIe3.0x4 product.

The measured performance is acceptable, and it is sufficient for daily use.

The performance of the LPDDR5-6400 memory did not disappoint either.

The wireless network card on hand is a MediaTek MT7921, which supports WiFi6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Temperature Test

The Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) uses the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processor, uses the Zen3+ architecture, and has 8 physical cores and 16 logical threads.

Using the built-in stability test tool of AIDA64 for FPU single baking, the CPU power consumption is stable at about 84W. The temperature was at 92.1°C. The CPU frequency is 4.1GHz.

The AMD Radeon RX6600M graphics card has 1792 stream processors with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

Furmark single-bake power consumption can be stable at 100W. Temperature 75℃, frequency 1945MHz.

In the double-baking state, the CPU power consumption is stable at 66W, and the frequency is stable at around 4GHz. The power consumption of the graphics card can still run at 100W. The huge cooling module brings the performance release and cooling performance comparable to the top gaming notebooks .

CPU Performance Test

The CineBench R20 multi-thread score can reach 5458cb, and the single-threaded score is also as high as 597cb, which is much stronger than many game books. After all, the power consumption release has reached 84W.

In R23, the multi-threaded score is 14,119, and the single-threaded score is 1,527. The performance is already stronger than the Ryzen 7 5700G of the desktop platform.

X264 FHD transcoding can reach 60.6 frames per second.

X265 transcoding can also reach 41.27FPS.

GPU Performance Test

The performance level of the RX6600M graphics card released by 100W performance is similar to the mobile version of the full blood RX 3060.

Games Performance Test

In view of the fact that high-end graphics cards are also very difficult to run 4K games, this time we chose more practical 1080P and 2K resolutions for testing. Both are set to high quality.

The combination of Ryzen 7 6800H and Radeon RX6600M graphics card can basically run most mainstream games smoothly at 2K resolution and high picture quality.

Productivity Performance Test

Use PugetBench to test the efficiency of running Photoshop and Premiere Pro on your computer.

The Photoshop test score reached 1034. With a high-quality 4K screen, the experience of Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) 2022 for photo editing is very good.

The Adobe Premiere video clip performance running score can reach 484. Since the A card does not support CUDA acceleration, the score is lower than that of the machine with the same level of N card.

Our Verdict

The space occupation is much smaller than that of traditional desktop computers and the screen size is much larger than that of notebook products, so that Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) combines the advantages of the two, giving consumers who have limited space and want high-performance large-screen computers a good choice.

The appearance and performance level of the Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 (2022) 2022 can be called the first-class level of the current Windows all-in-one machine. The 27-inch high-quality 4K screen and Dolby speakers can well meet the needs of home audio and video, with the latest Ryzen 7 6800H processor and RX6600M discrete graphics card, not only home office and more professional video editing work can also be easily completed, daily There's nothing wrong with playing games.

If you just need a high-performance all-in-one computer, the Lenovo YOGA AIO 7 2022 should be one of the best choices at present.
