Minisforum Unveils Cutting-Edge Mini PCs at CES 2024


In a dazzling display of technological innovation, Minisforum has taken center stage at CES 2024, unveiling a series of groundbreaking products that are set to redefine the Mini PC market. Among the stars of the show are the UH185 Ultra, a powerhouse equipped with Intel's flagship Meteor Lake "Core Ultra" CPU, and the HX200G Mini PC, boasting AMD's Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU and Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics card.

UH185 Ultra: Intel Core Ultra Mini PC Perfected

The UH185 Ultra Mini PC stands out with its use of Intel's Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, featuring an impressive 16 cores, 22 threads, and a powerful NPU for AI processing. With the latest Arc Xe-LPG integrated graphics, including 8 Xe-Cores clocked at 2250 MHz, this Mini PC is a computing powerhouse. The CPU can boost up to 5.1 GHz, and with a TDP of 45W+, it ensures optimal performance.

A notable feature of the UH185 Ultra is the 4-inch auxiliary screen at the top of the chassis. This touchscreen panel displays crucial metrics such as CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD utilization, as well as weather, time, and date. The screen also supports a 1080p camera with physical shading, making it a versatile addition. With support for two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory slots, dual USB4 ports, dual 5GbE Ethernet LAN ports, and additional features like an Oculink port for expanded graphics capabilities, Minisforum is set to make waves in the Mini PC market in 2024.

The HX200G Mini PC is a high-end design featuring AMD's Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU, packing 16 cores and 32 threads. Accompanying this formidable CPU is the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics card, equipped with 32 Compute Units based on the RDNA 3 architecture. The HX200G sets itself apart by being the first Mini PC to incorporate a PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD slot, providing cutting-edge storage capabilities.

The design of the HX200G is striking, featuring a vertical stand with large exhaust vents on the front and back. The cooling solution employs liquid gold TIM for both the CPU and GPU, coupled with a quad-fan layout to ensure efficient cooling at noise levels below 45dBA. The inclusion of horoscope engrams with RGB lighting adds a touch of flair to the matte black chassis with red accents.

Future Offerings: EM780 Mini PC and BD790i Motherboard

Minisforum has more in store for Mini PC enthusiasts in 2024. The upcoming EM780 Mini PC, featuring the Ryzen 7 7840U APU in a tiny 0.25L chassis, promises to be the fastest in its form factor and size. This Mini PC will be available in orange, aqua, and black colored variants starting at $619 US.

Additionally, Minisforum is set to launch the BD790i motherboard, a significant upgrade over the existing BD770i design. Equipped with a Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU, this motherboard promises enhanced performance and features.

While pricing details for the HX200G and UH185 Ultra are yet to be announced, these cutting-edge Mini PCs are expected to hit the market in the first half of 2024, offering users a new realm of possibilities in compact computing.
