PELADN Launches YO1 Mini PC with AMD Strix Halo Processor and High-Speed LPDDR5X Memory

PELADN has officially released its latest high-performance mini PC, the YO1, built around AMD’s new Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, part of the “Strix Halo” series. Designed for users who require compact systems with powerful performance capabilities, the YO1 offers a balanced combination of processing strength, memory bandwidth, and high-speed storage.

The PELADN YO1 is equipped with 128GB of LPDDR5x memory, running at 8000 MT/s. This level of memory bandwidth is rare in AI mini PCs and supports a range of memory-intensive tasks. Storage is handled by a 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0×4 SSD, which is pre-installed. An additional M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0×4 slot is available for users who want to expand storage further.

In terms of physical dimensions, the unit measures 221mm × 200mm × 56mm and weighs approximately 1.38 kilograms. The YO1 uses a dual-turbo fan cooling system paired with three heat pipes. Users can adjust the thermal design power (TDP) settings between 55W, 85W, and 120W depending on their performance or noise requirements. This adjustability allows the system to adapt to different use scenarios, whether it's low-power operation or full performance under heavier workloads.

Connectivity is a strong point for the YO1. Wireless networking is powered by an Intel AX210 module, offering Wi-Fi 6E support along with Bluetooth 5.2. This ensures compatibility with the latest routers and peripheral devices.

Front I/O options include a power button, a dedicated TDP adjustment button, an SD 4.0 card reader, one USB-C port capable of 40Gbps data transfer, two USB-A ports rated at 10Gbps, and a standard 3.5mm audio jack. This setup provides accessible options for connecting storage devices, headphones, and other peripherals without reaching around the back of the unit.

The rear I/O panel offers additional connectivity with two USB-A 2.0 ports (480Mbps), one HDMI 2.1 output, one DisplayPort 1.4, another USB-C 40Gbps port, one USB-A 10Gbps port, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, a second 3.5mm audio jack, and a DC-in power connector. The presence of both HDMI and DisplayPort allows for multi-display configurations, which could be beneficial for productivity tasks or content creation.

With a focus on high-speed memory, ample connectivity, and a compact form factor, the PELADN YO1 is aimed at professionals and power users looking for a small desktop PC without compromising on modern performance standards. The addition of user-adjustable TDP settings and dual M.2 storage support adds flexibility to a hardware package that already includes AMD’s latest silicon. The YO1 is now available for purchase in select markets.
