Rapoo Releases Second-Generation VT2MAX Dual 8K Gaming Mice
Rapoo has officially launched its latest second-generation VT2 and VT2 MAX gaming mice on JD.com, expanding its product lineup with two new performance-focused options. These models are positioned to offer advanced tracking precision and high polling rate capabilities, targeting users who demand fast response and control, especially in competitive gaming environments.
The VT2 series comes in two variants. The standard VT2 is powered by the Pixart 3398 sensor, while the VT2 MAX features the higher-end Pixart 3950 Ultimate sensor. Both sensors are known for their high accuracy and stable tracking, making them suitable for FPS and esports titles where quick and precise movement is crucial.
Both models support a native dual 8K polling rate, powered by the NORDIC 54 series microcontroller unit (MCU). This 8000Hz polling rate transmits input data to the computer eight times more frequently than the typical 1000Hz standard, effectively minimizing input delay. The result is improved responsiveness, which can make a noticeable difference in fast-paced, competitive gaming scenarios where every millisecond counts.
In terms of ergonomics and design, the VT2 series offers six different color options. However, only three of these colors are currently listed and available for purchase on JD.com. The mice are designed to support medium to large hand sizes and come with a skin-friendly, non-slip surface coating. This coating is intended to provide a stable grip during extended use, minimizing discomfort or slipping during rapid hand movements.
Each version of the mouse is equipped with a different switch mechanism. The standard VT2 features Omron mechanical switches rated for 100 million clicks, while the VT2 MAX includes Rapoo’s customized optical microswitches rated for 120 million actuations. The optical switches in the MAX model offer a longer lifespan and aim to deliver more consistent performance over time.
In terms of DPI range, the VT2 covers 50 to 26,000 DPI, allowing for a wide spectrum of sensitivity adjustments. The MAX version extends this range further, from 10 up to 45,000 DPI, offering even more flexibility for users who want ultra-precise control or extremely high sensitivity.
The new VT2 series is now available for order through JD.com. Rapoo has not yet confirmed availability outside of China or whether these models will be sold through global retailers in the near future. Pricing details for each model vary by configuration and color, and early listings suggest competitive positioning within the mid-to-high-end gaming mouse segment.
