RedMagic Expands Gaming Ecosystem with Debut of Ice Blade Magnetic Switch Keyboard
At its recent product launch event, RedMagic introduced a new addition to its expanding gaming ecosystem: the Ice Blade Magnetic Switch Keyboard. This marks the brand’s first foray into customized magnetic switch mechanical keyboards, aligning with its broader push into high-performance gaming accessories.
The Ice Blade Magnetic Switch Keyboard features a CNC-machined 6063 aluminum alloy shell, a material commonly used in aerospace and premium electronics due to its strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. According to RedMagic, the manufacturing process includes six core procedures, 20 total steps, and 15 rounds of surface polishing. The result is a rigid, precisely finished body designed for long-term durability and visual consistency.
Design-wise, the keyboard adopts a straight-edge, faceted cutting structure, contributing to what the company calls a “starship-inspired” look. It is available in two finishes: Deuterium Transparent Silver Wing and Deuterium Transparent Dark Night. Both offer a partially transparent top that showcases internal components and RGB lighting, which supports approximately 16.77 million colors across 24 lighting modes.
The keyboard supports modular customization, letting users change button functions and adjust the layout to suit their preferences. RedMagic includes a DIY system that makes it easy to switch to a 68-key setup, catering to those who prefer a more compact or tailored keyboard experience—whether for gaming or everyday tasks.
Internally, the keyboard uses a dual-structure mounting design that supports both gasket and bottom-mounted switch configurations. This flexibility allows users to tailor the typing feel and acoustic profile to personal preference. The keyboard is also equipped with RedMagic’s self-developed Butterfly Wing Magnetic Switch, which incorporates a cross-structure mechanism aimed at enhancing stability and responsiveness—especially useful in first-person shooter (FPS) games where fast input recognition is critical.
The unit features RedMagic’s proprietary MAGIC SPEED TURBO connection technology, which claims to deliver high-speed signal transmission with 0.005mm actuation accuracy and continuous touch support. These specifications suggest a focus on minimizing input delay and ensuring consistent key response across extended gaming sessions.
With this release, RedMagic signals a broader strategy to diversify beyond gaming smartphones and tablets, such as the recently unveiled RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. The Ice Blade keyboard appears positioned to appeal to competitive gamers looking for a premium, customizable input device that matches their performance expectations.
