Lenovo has teased a new gaming tablet for the Chinese market called the Lenovo Legion Y700. The tablet seems to be targeted at mobile gamers looking for a bigger screen than what a gaming smartphone can offer. The company has not revealed a launch date for the tablet nor has it shared the full specifications of the device. But reportedly the Lenovo Legion Y700 will have an 8.8-inch screen featuring a high refresh rate and touch sampling rate. The screen has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.

Lenovo introduced the Legion Y700 gaming tablet through its Weibo social media account. Its 8.8-inch display has a 120Hz refresh rate along with support for the 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. The display also offers a touch sampling rate of 240Hz for low input lag. The tablet, when held horizontally, features slightly thicker bezels that should provide a comfortable grip while gaming. The image shows the Legion Y700 featuring a single camera sensor on the back with an LED flash. The back panel appears to feature a metal design.

A recent report by ITHome claims that a live photo of the Lenovo Legion Y700 appearing on Weibo will come with JBL speakers on the tablet enhanced by Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technologies.

Previously, the company introduced the Lenovo Tab 6 5G in October, which is expected to be released early next year. Equipped with a 10.3-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920 pixels, In addition to the screen and smaller size, the machine is also expected to be equipped with Qualcomm's most advanced processor in the choice of processor. The strong Snapdragon 8 Gen1, because it has a larger internal space than a mobile phone, also means that it has stronger heat dissipation than a mobile phone, and can perform stable performance.

And it can also fit a large battery of about 6000-8000 mAh, which also satisfies the battery life experience when playing games for a long time. Judging from the official publicity map, the screen-to-body ratio of Lenovo Y700 is still relatively good, but it does not use a four-sided constant-width screen, and the upper and lower borders are thicker.

The tablet also has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB). It is equipped with an 8 MP camera on the back and an 8 MP selfie shooter. The Lenovo Tab 6 5G is packed with kid-friendly features such as 'Kids Space' designed for pre-schoolers and 'Learning Mode' for elementary school students, it will also come with Google Family Link to allow parents to monitor their child's activity on the tablet.

Despite the new details, Lenovo has not revealed which processor will be the Legion Y700. Whereas it is a tablet focused on games, the chipset Snapdragon 8 of Qualcomm is a strong candidate for this position. Additionally, the device is expected to have 8GB or 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. A set of specs capable of running even the heaviest games without choking. For now, there is no information about the debut and value of the Lenovo Legion Y700 in the Chinese market. As well, there is no forecast for the launch of the model outside China.
