OneXPlayer has officially announced the OneXPlayer 3, introducing a new handheld gaming system powered by the Intel Xeon G3 Extreme processor. The latest device takes a different approach compared to traditional handheld gaming PCs by combining handheld, tablet, and laptop-style functionality into a single product.

The OneXPlayer 3 features an 8.8-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, and HDR capability. The display configuration is aimed at users looking for smoother gameplay, reduced screen tearing, and improved visual quality for both gaming and media consumption. The larger screen size also places the device among the bigger handheld gaming systems currently available.

The OneXPlayer 3 features a detachable controller design that allows both controller modules to be removed instead of being permanently fixed to the handheld. This approach gives users greater flexibility, adapting the device for different use cases and play styles.

The controller hardware includes several gaming-focused features, such as:

l Transparent keycaps

l Micro-switch ABXY buttons

l Capacitive joysticks

l Dual-cut triggers

l D-Pad with replaceable keycaps

l Modular detachable controller system

OneXPlayer is also offering a wireless connection base that turns the two separate controller units into a single traditional-style game controller. The accessory includes a capacitive touchpad positioned in the center section, adding support for navigation and control functions outside standard gaming inputs.

Beyond gaming, the OneXPlayer 3 can shift into a laptop-like setup through an optional keyboard attachment. The keyboard connects using a Pogo Pin and magnetic mounting system and includes integrated touchpad support alongside backlit buttons. To support this configuration, the device carries a built-in rear stand that allows users to position the handheld on a desk or flat surface.

The device is equipped with an 85Wh battery, which could provide longer operating time depending on workload, power profile, and usage conditions. While official performance numbers, pricing details, and release information have not yet been disclosed, the hardware configuration suggests that OneXPlayer is targeting users interested in both portable gaming and productivity workloads.

Key specifications and features include:

l Intel Xeon G3 Extreme processor

l 8.8-inch 144Hz VRR HDR OLED display

l 85Wh built-in battery

l Detachable modular controllers

l Wireless controller connection base

l Integrated capacitive touchpad support

l Keyboard accessory with Pogo Pin magnetic connection

l Built-in rear stand for desktop usage

l Handheld, tablet, and laptop operating modes

With its modular design, OLED display, detachable controls, and support for multiple usage modes, the OneXPlayer 3 expands the growing handheld gaming PC segment with a feature set designed for users who want more than a traditional portable console experience.
