OneXPlayer Apex Air Gaming Handheld Launches with 8-inch 120Hz Screen and Replaceable Battery
OneXPlayer has launched the Apex Air all-in-one gaming handheld console, adding another option to the growing portable gaming PC market. The new handheld focuses on a larger display, improved controls, expandable storage, and a replaceable battery design. Unlike some handheld gaming devices with detachable controllers, the Apex Air uses a fixed controller layout built directly into the chassis.

The OneXPlayer Apex Air features an 8-inch IPS display with a 1920x1200 resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate. The screen supports 100% sRGB color coverage, offering accurate colors for gaming and media playback. It also reaches up to 500 nits brightness and includes DC dimming technology to reduce flickering during extended use.
The device is powered by an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor and supports a TDP of up to 45W. This allows users to balance performance and power consumption depending on the game or application. The handheld is equipped with an 85Wh battery, which can be removed and replaced. The replaceable battery setup gives users more flexibility for longer gaming sessions and future maintenance.
The Apex Air also comes with an upgraded control system designed for handheld gaming. It includes an optimized grip shape, capacitive joysticks, adjustable dual vibration motors, customizable dual rear buttons, two-stage travel triggers, and micro-switch shoulder buttons. These features are aimed at providing more control for different types of games, including action titles and racing games.
Storage expansion is another focus of the device. The OneXPlayer Apex Air supports Mini SSD expansion, allowing users to add extra storage for larger game libraries. It also includes a Micro SD card slot for additional space.
