RAPOO has expanded its gaming mouse lineup with the new VT4 V2 series, bringing an 8,000Hz polling rate, Nordic's latest nRF54-series controller, and support for high-speed tracking across four different configurations. The new mice are designed for competitive gaming, with RAPOO offering several hardware options for users looking for different combinations of performance, weight, and components.

The VT4 V2 series uses a medium-sized design measuring 123 × 65 × 38mm, with a horizontal width of 58mm. RAPOO has optimized the shape for claw grip, targeting players who prefer a curved finger position and a more controlled grip during fast movements. Its dimensions place it in the medium-sized category, making it suitable for users who want a balance between mouse size and maneuverability.

The VT4 V2 lineup uses a Nordic nRF54-series controller to support an 8,000Hz polling rate over both USB-C wired and 2.4GHz wireless connections. This allows the mouse to report its position up to 8,000 times per second, with just 0.125ms between reports. RAPOO also specifies an 8,000Hz button polling rate, allowing button inputs to be registered at the same frequency.

The company has also included a high-frame-rate mode exceeding 20,000 FPS. This feature is intended to support fast sensor tracking, particularly during quick movements in competitive games where consistent cursor response is important. Combined with the high polling rate, the hardware is designed to provide more frequent input updates over both wired and wireless connections.

Like other second-generation models in RAPOO's VT lineup, the VT4 V2 is available in four versions: Standard, MAX, Air MAX, and MAX Master. The Standard is positioned as the entry-level configuration, while the MAX sits in the mid-range segment. The Air MAX offers a lightweight-focused option, and the MAX Master serves as the high-end model in the series.

The VT4 V2 Standard features a PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor paired with the Nordic nRF54L15 controller. It also uses mechanical micro switches for the primary buttons and a mechanical encoder for the scroll wheel. This configuration combines a high-end optical sensor with conventional mechanical components for the main clicks and scroll-wheel operation.

The four-model approach gives RAPOO room to target different gaming mouse preferences without changing the overall VT4 V2 design. However, the complete hardware specifications for the MAX, Air MAX, and MAX Master versions have not yet been detailed in the available information. Pricing and regional availability have also not been confirmed.

For now, the VT4 V2 series brings 8KHz wired and wireless polling to RAPOO's medium-sized claw-grip mouse design, while the four configurations give buyers different options depending on their preferred hardware and weight requirements.
