VGN Dragonfly 3 Mini Turbo+ Features PAW3955 Extreme Sensor and Dual 8KHz Polling
VGN has expanded its Dragonfly gaming mouse lineup with the new Dragonfly 3 Mini series, offering dual 8,000Hz native polling, lightweight construction, and high-end PixArt optical sensors in a smaller form factor. The lineup includes two models, the Dragonfly 3 Mini Turbo and Dragonfly 3 Mini Turbo+, both designed for gamers with small to medium-sized hands who want a compact mouse without giving up high polling rates and low input latency.

The Dragonfly 3 Mini Turbo is priced at 249 yuan (approximately $35), while the Dragonfly 3 Mini Turbo+ costs 299 yuan (approximately $42). The main difference between the two models is their optical sensor. The standard Turbo features the PAW3950 Extreme, while the Turbo+ uses the newer PAW3955 Extreme sensor. Both versions share the same general design, internal controller configuration, battery capacity, and connectivity options.
VGN has revised the mouse's shape compared with its previous design, focusing on users who prefer smaller gaming mice. It measures 118 × 61 × 38mm and weighs approximately 52 grams. According to the company, the redesigned shell is 6% shorter and 3% narrower, while its highest point has been reduced by 5%. VGN has also adjusted the curvature of the rear slope by 7% to change how the mouse sits in the palm and improve handling for smaller and medium-sized hands.
Both models use a dual Nordic 54LM20 main controller solution, which VGN says enables dual native 8,000Hz polling rates. This allows the mouse to transmit position updates at intervals as short as 0.125ms. The company also lists button latency as low as 0.175ms, targeting competitive players who prioritize fast input response during gameplay. The actual benefits of an 8KHz polling rate will depend on the system configuration, game, and hardware being used.
Connectivity is handled through three modes, including 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB wired connections. This gives users the option to switch between low-latency wireless gaming, everyday Bluetooth use, and a wired setup. Both Dragonfly 3 Mini models also feature a built-in 500mAh battery. VGN claims that a one-minute charge can provide approximately 10 hours of use, although battery life will vary depending on the selected connection mode, polling rate, and usage.
With the Dragonfly 3 Mini Turbo starting at around $35 and the Turbo+ priced at approximately $42, VGN is offering two sensor configurations at relatively low Chinese launch prices. The combination of a 52g shell, tri-mode connectivity, dual 8KHz polling, and adjustable hand-fit geometry gives the Dragonfly 3 Mini series a competitive gaming-focused feature set. International pricing and availability have not been confirmed in the provided launch details.
