Thunderobot MIX NUC Mini PC Upgraded with AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and 1TB SSD
Thunderobot has officially announced a new configuration for its MIX NUC mini PC lineup. The latest model is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mobile processor, designed to deliver high performance in a compact and efficient form factor. With upgraded memory, storage, and thermal design, the new MIX NUC is aimed at users seeking desktop-grade performance in a small chassis suitable for workstations, creative tasks, and home setups.
The new generation MIX NUC retains Thunderobot’s compact design philosophy. It features a metal top shell combined with a plastic bottom and rear frame, maintaining a solid yet lightweight construction. The device’s signature ridge-style surface resembles the first light of dawn, complemented by a vibrant illuminated logo on top. Measuring approximately 128 × 128 × 37 mm (excluding the rubber feet), the system occupies a minimal footprint of 0.68 liters, making it easy to fit in limited spaces such as office desks or entertainment setups.
Inside, the MIX NUC is equipped with AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, built on a 12-core, 24-thread architecture. It reaches boost clock speeds of up to 5.1GHz and integrates up to 50 TOPS of AI computing power. This makes it capable of handling multitasking, creative workloads, and AI-assisted applications. The system includes 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB solid-state drive, ensuring fast data access and reliable multitasking. Both memory and storage can be expanded, thanks to dual DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 drive bays that support additional SSDs.
The MIX NUC provides modern connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless communication. On the rear I/O panel, users will find a versatile range of ports: one USB-C (40Gbps, PD not supported), two USB 3.2 Gen2, four USB 3.2 Gen1, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, a 2.5G Ethernet port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a DC power input. This layout makes it adaptable for both workstation and home entertainment use, supporting multiple displays and high-speed peripherals.
Cooling has been improved with a new Y+U-shaped heat pipe structure, enhancing heat transfer and airflow. The system achieves an airflow rate of 7.74 CFM with a fan pressure of 5.33 mmH₂O, maintaining stable operation during heavy workloads. Thunderobot states that the system can reach up to 70W of performance output while sustaining a consistent 65W under extended load conditions.
The MIX NUC comes pre-installed with a genuine Windows 11 operating system, ready for immediate use. Its performance and compact design make it suitable for professionals involved in video editing, data analysis, and creative production, as well as general office or educational applications.
